Contact Lenses

As their name suggests contact lenses are small prescription lenses, worn in contact with the eye. They actually float on the tear film layer on the surface of the cornea.

They are not all the same, different forms are designed to meet different purposes. Some are designed to be changed daily. some every two weeks and some monthly. They can correct astigmatism, near vision and far vision. There are also some that correct distance and near vision at the same time.

They do have some other advantages over spectacles, in as much as you don't get reflections and distortions, they don't get wet when it rains and don't steam up when you enter a warm room. Contact lenses also give you a full field of focused vision, wherever you look.
